La Place offers gourmet French cuisine in elegant surroundings with stunning
views of the ocean.
It is run by Maurice Belhaj and his wife Fatima, who were voted Vale do Lobo's
Restaurateurs of the Year 2003 by the Resort's management. The couple's former
restaurant in Paris became internationally known following reports in the international
press and the Michelin Good Food Guide.
La Place quickly gained an excellent reputation and a loyal clientele. Service
is attentive yet discreet, the atmosphere is sophisticated, the presentation exquisite.
The menu offers a range of starters, meat and fish dishes and delicious desserts
in traditional French style. The menu is changed every two months. There is an
extensive wine list of both French and Portugese labels.
